I absolutely LOVE Lauryn Hill she’s one of my FAVORITE singers, and this is my absolute favorite Lauryn
Hill song ever.(I don't only like her because we share the same name and spelling) This song came out WAAAAYYY back when MTV was still playing real music, and when they had HOT shows like MTV Unplugged. I remember getting this DVD and this album when I was like 8th grade as a Christmas present but not really appreciating it because these weren’t any of the songs from “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill”
I was randomly listening to Pandora (thank goodness for Pandora!!) and I heard “I Gotta Find Peace of Mind” and I started crying (okay I’m a SAP!) because the message in this song is so powerful. Especially at the 8 minute mark when Lauryn starts crying mid song. The song is AMAZING. If it wasn’t for this song my last end of the year 2009 would have been #terrible (I know too much Twitter all bad).
I LOVE and ADMIRE this woman because she truly is an artist who has nothing but pure talent. I wish the music industry was fool of more people who made beautiful, meaningful music as such.
