Back By Popular Demand

I'm back from Los Angeles. I cut the trip short. Sad I know right? That means Bye-Bye to Sony Music internship (for now)...bye to my beautiful palm trees...and the wonderful Los Angeles life...now it's back to being a college student (a graduating senior by the way) But let's recap my AMAZING LAST NIGHT in LA? You ready? Cuz here it goes.

Daltek Global and Social Butterfly had a pre-ESPY event "The Timeless Gentlemen" it was honoring two hot stylist Dawn Haynes and Jonathan Kanarek. I met Dawn Haynes she's like the coolest ever! If you don't know who she is then YOU FAIL! Her clients include Eddie Murphy, Jamie Foxx, Halle Berry, Ludacris....just to name a few...but here's a few pics...

So this is me with Dawn at her crib. I would show y'all... her FLYY Spanish Castle but I'm not sure if she'd appreciate all of that...so I'll just post this pic for now. The lady has an amazing fashion sense and design sense. She's been in the game since she was 17. I learned a lot about her and a lot of life life in general from listening to her stories and being around her in the short amount of time I was in Los Angeles. She said we'd do lunch next time I came back...believe I will be calling her next time in LA. (this is such a bad pic of me okay? it was a rough day)

So the day of the event was mad crazy hectic...but despite all the nonsense it turned out to be pretty hot. Of course I had to get flyy for the event cuz apparently I look like I'm 16 and I had to show ppl in LA I'm an adult LOL.

Okay moving on to the event. So the event was at the Cocoa Cola Loft in downtown Los Angeles. The loft was amazing. Also Celebrity Chef G.Garvin came thru and put on a cooking show and some of ur fave celebs showed up.

A pic of the loft when the event first started.
Not a HOT pic of G. Garvin but LOL it'll have to do.
Here's a pic of the back of John Salle's head.. Tichina Arnold, and Rockmond Dunbar (he was super cool. He was one of the first people I met at the event. He's super nice. and a great actor)

Here's actress Tasha Smith in this pic. John Salle..etc. Tasha Smith was MAD COOL. I had to get her to take pictures on the red carpet and she was really nice. I was her personal assistant for like 5 minutes holding her purse and her what not. She kept thanking me over and over. I was thinking "girl it's a honor to be in ur presence" she's such a dope actress.

Everyone knows I was a HUGE B2K fan back in the day! He wasn't in B2K but...if u're a B2K fan you know him. Ricky Romance aka Ricky Thornton..Raz-B's older brother. He's a manager/producer/a lot of stuff. He was super cool and we ended up going to his friends crib in Bel-Air for a pool party later. We made smores! Ricky's an awesome guy. Maybe I should follow him a twitter...lol.

Here's just some random pics of Tichina and Dawn

I met Tichina Arnold for a few brief seconds. She was really nice as well. She was hilarious the entire night though. Like she's really funny and gorgeous as well. Y'all see how flyy Dawn looks? LOL really step your game up and research her...this lady is GREAT!

The BEST part of that ENTIRE NIGHT was when I met this guy right here!
Hosea Chanchez aka Malik El Debarge Wright from THE GAME aka my FAVORITE SHOW! I had seen him a month before out at this party but I was too shy to approach him. So this time..my sister told me he was there and I FINALLY spoke to him and got this picture. Ne one who knows me KNOWS I'm a HUGE fan of The Game. (BET NEEDS TO PICK IT UP ASAP). Hosea was really nice and he thanked me for being a fan. And he's fine as you can see..yes ladies he's REALLY fine in person okay?

As u can see I had an AMAZING LAST NIGHT in Los Angeles. GREAT TIMES..

I updated..you should all be happy!!! LEAVE COMMENTS! I posted pics.

This Sidney Shaw stuff is kinda cool. I'm tryna make it. I need SUPPORT!

Late Night Sessions...

So I made the MISTAKE of telling Olamide that I finally posted his new single "Slow Down" on my blog. Now I've been up listening to NEWER and OLDER Imajin songs. Oh yeah...Olamide has now started his blog (again) due to my encouragement (right Olamide?) so make sure y'all go over and support Olamide. He's now apart of the Blogspot fam! (http://olamidemusic.blogspot.com/)

Remember how I said I liked Imajin because they played their own instruments and had a different feel to them? I have some more proof of how flyy they really are. Head to their Myspace and listen to the tracks they have on their. Apparently they are 3 albums deep and yet the rest of the world isnt' aware of that. (Yeah Olamide just told me that one). The current song I'm listening to is a Mario Winans production "Can't Forget" co written by Olamide and John. Song is pretty hot one of those songs I'd probably add to a playlist entitled "The Golden Years" but that's a different story LOL.

Another song I LOVE is "Fatal" I think I first heard this song last summer and I pretty much would go on Youtube everyday and listen to it. It's another track that would make the "Golden" list but the song is really hot. It just has a a real mellow feel. It's one of those tracks you play in the background, light some candles and reminisce about whoever you are missing...

My other faves are "That's What's Up" and "Anything". "That's What's Up" has this party/chilling vibe to it. It just kinda makes you dance a little...I'm not sure how to explain it. But I like it...it's different...totally different from the songs we have out right now like "Birthday Sex" and "Boyfriend #2" don't get me wrong...I do occasionally listen to those songs...but their music just sounds so...what's the word I'm looking for? Pure?

Like I said in my previous post I've been down with Imajin since the late 90's...98/99. So I've been listening to them since they were all sounded like sopranos pre-puberty. So it's cool to listen to them now post puberty. Voices all mature...they've really grown literally...but as artist as well. The style of music has changed into a more grown up feel no longer the kiddie pop and r&b songs they once sang. This time songs have more meaning, they are more personal...some probably based on real life situations.

There's nothing bad I can say about these guys. I respect TRUE ARTIST...once again if you can PLAY an instrument and sing at the same time? You're a TRUE ARTIST. I believe in an article I read on Bilboard.com back in the 90's they compared Imajin to the Jackson 5. Deep right? Hmmmm I voiced my opinion. Now you voice yours...

Make sure you check out Olamide's blog though y'all. Leave ME comments and him too.

...gotta love those night sessions...
